Lyrics

[intro]
Verse 1:
What amazing love
What an awesome God
What a faithful promise fulfilled in His son
Bearing the full measure of the wrath that was meant for me
Redeeming my soul and making me whole

Chorus:
Amazing love He bestowed on me
While I was yet a sinner, He poured out mercy
His perfect grace covers all my shame
Making me a new creation in Christ

And there upon the cross the righteous for the guilty
The sacrificial lamb that took away my sin
And clothed in His righteousness covered by His atonement
I stand redeemed, justified and free

Amazing love He bestowed on me
While I was yet a sinner, He poured out mercy
His perfect grace covers all my shame
Makin me a new creation in Christ
