What We Believe
Rooted in Scripture. Centered on Christ. Committed to Truth.
At Behold Grace Music (BGM), we believe that true worship begins with a right understanding of who God is and what He has revealed through His Word.
Our faith is grounded in the Holy Scriptures, informed by the historic Christian faith expressed in the Apostles' Creed, and rooted in the doctrinal convictions of the 1689 Second London Baptist Confession of Faith.
We believe that music offered in worship should do more than inspire emotion. It should proclaim biblical truth, exalt Jesus Christ, and direct our hearts and minds toward the glory of God.
Our Core Beliefs
The Authority of Scripture
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God, sufficient for faith and godly living. Scripture is the foundation of our beliefs, the source of our message, and the standard by which our lyrics are guided.
2 Timothy 3:16–17; Psalm 19:7–11
The Triune God
We believe in one eternal and sovereign God, existing in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is the Creator and Sustainer of all things and is worthy of all worship, honor, and praise.
Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14
The Person and Work of Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice for sinners, rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, and will return in glory.
John 1:1–14; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4; Hebrews 9:28
Salvation by Grace Alone
We believe salvation is entirely a work of God's sovereign grace, accomplished through the redeeming work of Jesus Christ and received through faith in Him alone. We are justified not by our own righteousness or works, but by the righteousness of Christ.
Ephesians 2:8–9; Romans 3:23–26; Philippians 3:9
The Work of the Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit brings spiritual life to sinners, grants faith and repentance, dwells within believers, and progressively sanctifies them, conforming them to the image of Christ.
John 3:5–8; Titus 3:5; 2 Corinthians 3:18
The Church and Christian Fellowship
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, made up of those redeemed by His grace. Believers are called to gather in local churches for worship, fellowship, discipleship, and the proclamation of the gospel.
Ephesians 4:4–6; Hebrews 10:24–25
The Glory of God in Worship
We believe that worship belongs to God alone and must be shaped by the truth of His Word. Music is one expression of our worship, through which we seek to proclaim His attributes, celebrate His redemptive work, and encourage the Church to behold His glory.
John 4:23–24; Colossians 3:16; Psalm 96:1–9
The Return of Christ and Our Eternal Hope
We believe Jesus Christ will return in glory to judge the living and the dead. We look forward to the resurrection, the final restoration of all things, and everlasting fellowship with God in the new heavens and new earth.
Acts 1:11; Revelation 21:1–4
Our Confessional Foundation
Our doctrinal convictions are rooted in the historic Reformed Baptist tradition, particularly the 1689 Second London Baptist Confession of Faith.
We also affirm the foundational truths of the Christian faith expressed in the Apostles' Creed, which summarizes the historic Christian confession concerning God the Father, Jesus Christ His Son, and the Holy Spirit.
While these historic statements help articulate our convictions, we recognize the Holy Scriptures as our final authority in all matters of faith and practice.
Our Commitment Through Music
Every composition produced under Behold Grace Music is intended to reflect these biblical convictions.
Our desire is not merely to create beautiful melodies, but to proclaim sound doctrine, encourage the Church, and point listeners to the majesty of God and the finished work of Jesus Christ.
